Apple Crisp

A fall favourite in my house is a warm apple crisp. We do an annual Apple Picking Appreciation Event with my City Mortgage Group and we always end up coming home with a big bag of delicious, family farm grown apples that are perfect for baking.

7 apples, peeled and sliced

2 tsp white sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white flour

3/4 cup rolled oats

1 cup melted butter

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine apples, white sugar & cinnamon in a bowl and pour into lightly greased baking dish
  3. Mix togehter brown sugar, flour & oats in a separate bowl
  4. Pour melted butter over the mixture and stir until evenly coated
  5. Add mixture to top of apples in baking dish, lightly patting it down until entire top is covered thinly
  6. Bake until golden brown - about 40 minutes
